The EventTender is Clarksville’s newest bartending company. I sat down with Hailey to hear more about how she got started.
Liz: Hey Hailey, thanks for sitting down with me today. Let’s start out by telling everyone how you got into wedding and event bartending.
Hailey: Hello! I got started in bartending 5 years ago and absolutely loved it. I recently had my daughter and she completely changed my life. I graduated at 40 weeks pregnant with my Bachelor’s in Business and knew I wanted to get started working with my degree right after having my daughter.
Liz:Â You graduated at 40 weeks pregnant!? Wow, that is quite an accomplishment. So you had a college degree and a new baby girl. What brought you to create your company?
Hailey: I knew that not only did I want to start using my degree but that I didn’t want to stop doing what I loved, bartending. I took my degree, that love of bartending, and combined it with my passion for entrepreneurship. And thus, “The EventTender” was born! Before I knew it, I was having business cards made, getting my license and insurance, and networking. Soon I was booking weddings and sharing my love of mixology with couples on their wedding day.
Liz: What a whirlwind that must have been for you! I remember when I first started my business and it was so exhilarating working at a wedding for the first time. Can you tell me about your favorite wedding experience so far?
Hailey: Of course! I think it would definitely have to be the Summer/Ross wedding at Cedars at Carr Farm. Not only is the venue beautiful but the couple and their families were long-time regulars of mine at my former bartending job. They knew I was starting a business and asked me to bartend their wedding. It was my very first time bartending at a wedding and it’s still such a special memory for me. That first wedding really gave me the wedding bug and I knew this was what I wanted to keep doing. So here I am, The EventTender!
Liz: What a special first wedding! I love when the people we are close to believe in us and help us get our business started. Thank you so much for hanging out and chatting with me. Where can couples find you online?
Hailey: You can find me in a couple of different places. You can find me on Facebook: The EventTender, and on Instagram: the_eventtender. I’d love to bartend your wedding reception!
Liz:Â Hailey, once again thank you for taking the time to share how your business got started with our readers. Below are the photographers that took the photos Hailey currently uses in her business.
